Copyright & Content Reports

Websites published through LaunchPad are created and controlled by their owners. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. This page explains how to report content that infringes your copyright, how site owners can respond, and how to report other harmful content.

1. Reporting copyright infringement (DMCA notice)

If you believe content on a site hosted by LaunchPad infringes your copyright, send us a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) through our contact form. For your notice to be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), it must include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or a representative list if there are several).
• Identification of the material you claim is infringing and its location: the exact page address (URL) on the site.
• Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

When we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified material promptly and notify the site owner. Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.

2. Counter-notices

If you are a site owner and believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice through the contact form or the Help & Feedback widget in the app. A counter-notice must include:

• Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which LaunchPad may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. Unless they notify us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement, we may restore the removed material.

3. Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also, at our discretion, limit access to the Service or remove the sites of any user who infringes the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is repeat infringement.

4. Trademark and other intellectual property complaints

If content on a hosted site infringes your trademark or other intellectual property rights, report it through the contact form with a description of your rights, the material at issue, and its location. We review these reports and take appropriate action under our Terms of Service.

5. Other harmful content

To report content that is illegal, deceptive, or otherwise violates our Terms of Service (for example phishing, scams, impersonation, or harassment), use the contact form. Include the site address and a short description of the problem. We take reasonable steps to moderate published content and review every report.
